This model was folded on a piece of Canson art-paper taken from an A0 rectangle. It needed to be large because every attempt at folding the thing smaller looked awful.
The paper was pre-creased with a 32x32 (horizontal/vertical) grid and a 64x64 diagonal grid. Each hydrangea unit required an 8x8 8x8 (horizontal/vertical) grid and a 16x16 diagonal. The remaining squares were used to fold the connections between the hydrangeas.
